Sufia is a registered and accredited therapeutic counsellor of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) working with individuals and couples. Her broad practice has involved working in the charity sector, volunteer sector and privately. Sufia is Mental Health England (MHFA) trained and has over 6 years’ experience working for a Mental Health charity, Peer support for a postnatal women’s group, various schools as a school counsellor, volunteered for a youth agency and domestic violence agency.
Her aim as a counsellor is to build a therapeutic relationship with her clients on mutual trust whilst providing a space clients feel listened, comfortable, and supported. She offers short-term and term-term therapy based on the client’s needs. Sufia also specialises in Creative Arts in Counselling, offering creative tools in the counselling room such as genograms, guided imagery, sand trays and body mapping. Relationships can face challenges; Sufia’s specialist Diploma in Couples Counselling offers clients a space to work together through these challenges. Some of the areas that she may be able to support you with could be commitment, parenting, or pre-martial counselling.
